Films and Filming Magazine: July 1975

The iconic ‘Films and Filming’ magazine. This one features an incredible cover article on Antonioni’s The Passenger with loads of beautiful black and white stills from the film featuring Jack Nicholson and Maria Scheider.

Launched in 1954 from a little basement near London’s Victoria station, Films and Filming built a reputation for its coverage of the burgeoning international art house cinema of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. But, with its queer coded covers, erotically charged images and articles, and suggestive advertisements the magazine was also a radical clandestine document of gay film culture.
